He left for Manila thereafter, to study at the Far Eastern University taking up Medical Technology and was able to complete only his second year in college. He was force to discontinue his studies when the war perpetrated by the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) involved their place at Tuburan, Basilan Province, as his source of income ceased to support his studies. He returned to his province to seek his livelihood and then got married to his childhood sweetheart Hadji Aida Munib Amil in February 14, 1974. When hostilities between the MNLF and our government forces intensified in the area, he left for a safer haven in Semporna, Sabah, Malaysia and there began fishing within the vicinities, as his means of livelihood. With the birth of their first child Shabree, his family transferred to Zamboanga City, to find their mode of living. He sold his Rolex watch as starting capital for P10,000.00, from there he moved to the nearby barter trade to try his luck by personally going onboard small kumpit (wooden-hulled vessel) for his trips to and from Labuan, Sabah, Malaysia Because of his frugal and prudent mode of living, he progressed in his undertakings, up to going later to Singapore to pursue his barter trade business, where he learned to deal with sophisticated businessmen, their use of cellular telephones, long distance telephone communications, fax machines and absorbed how to negotiate with luxurious hotels, class restaurants, and other venues for conferences/appointments etc., to further enhance his wealth. He was later on trusted by these Singaporean entrepreneurs that loaned him their wares to be paid later. He also learned the intricacies of the shipping trade when he became a charterer of kumpits (wooden-hulled ships) that plies the Labuan- Zamboanga City barter trade route and as expected he became very successful in all his engagement. His business contact in Singapore, Bangkok, Indonesia and Malaysia are so immense, that by just calling or contacting them, he got his order of goods he wanted.

On his many trip to Labuan, Sabah, Malaysia, he saw how passenger ferries make their daily voyages to Brunei, Darussalam and Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia and even rode on them to get the feel of it.

In Zamboanga City Hadji Wahab A. Amil carved a name as a basketball enthusiasm, where in every tournament he and his team became participants. WEESAM EXPRESS VESSELS

As for the passenger ferry boat acquisition, contact were made with Mr. Yong Choo Kui, owner of the Yong Choo Kui Shipyard, Sdn. Bhd. at Sibu,. Sarawak, Malaysia. The first passenger steel hull boat was acquired from the operator of the BULLET EXPRESS, thence, it was commission by SRN FAST SEACRAFTS, INC. to be finished by the above-shipyard which when completed then, a team led by undersigned went to take delivery of said vessel from Sibu, Sarawak, Malaysia. The name of the craft M/V "WEESAM EXPRESS" was derived from the name of the youngest son of HADJI WAHAB A. AMIL, the President-Chairman whose name was WEESAM.

Next to be acquired was the M/V "WEESAM EXPRESS II", the EX-PINTAS SAMUDRA II in June 1998. Undersigned led the team that took delivery of this vessel at Sibu, Sarawak, Malaysia. This vessel as procured from the Sri Johore Bahru for the Zamboanga City-Lamitan, Basilan Province and vice-versa route. By December 1999, the M/V "WEESAM EXPRESS 5" was acquired to augment the fleet. Again undersigned led the team who took delivery of the vessel from Sibu, Sarawak, Malaysia. This vessel has a fully enclosed air-conditioned atmosphere, has 288 comfortable reclining seats, equipped with the latest safety and navigational implements, well-trained complement to serve the needs of the passengers, a canteen to cater to the snacks of passengers, powered by 2 x 2400 HP Caterpillar DITA 3516 Marine Engines, has a cruising speed of 30 knots and deployed at the Zamboanga City-Bongao, TawiTawi and vice-versa route. Later this vessel was serving the BIMP-EAGA route or particularly Zamboanga City-Bongao, Tawi-Tawi- Sandakan, Sabah, Malaysia and vice versa route. This ship is now an ISPS (International Ship and Port facility Security) compliance to engage in trade at Sandakan, Sabah, Malaysia or any international port of entry.

In the Philippines, there are lots of ports that have numerous traffic or passengers frequencies. Take for example the Batangas City to Calapan Mindoro which is in demand for more ships to ferry passengers daily. The Manila to Cavite which is a coastal area will help alleviate traffic or even the Pasig river in Metro Manila. To deploy fast ferries in this Pasig river, from Binangonan going down river to the metropolis will also decongest traffic thereat. With our model of passenger ferries, that is enclosed overall, no bad odor or foul smelling stench coming from outside the river will penetrate, hence, it wilt freshen up the clients with the fully air-conditioned atmosphere and assure more patronage.

In the Visayan waters there are still areas where we can deploy our passenger ferries, such as the Cebu City to Ormoc, Leyte and vice-versa route, Cebu City to Dumaguete City up to Dapitan City in northern Mindanao and vice-versa route. This area has been served before by fast passenger ferries, but to unknown reasons, most operators abandon them.

Next to be taken for delivery will be the M/V "WEESAM EXPRESS 7" another top aluminum hull that is nearing construction completion at the Yong Choo Kui Shipyard, Sdn. Bhd. The schedule is sometime this 2006, hence all paper works are in progress or ready for action anytime. This passenger ferry is the latest model with about 300 reclining/comfortable seats, fully enclosed air-conditioned atmosphere, with the latest safety and navigational aids, whose engines are still to be procured or maybe the latest Cummins Marine Engines of 16 cylinders and can be propelled at more than 30 knots. This vessel is a new Malaysian fast craft model, innovative and brand new to augment the fleet.
